Truck wash in Vancouver?
Now with our new roof rack our Delica is over height and will not fit in a normal car wash. Therefore I was wondering where a good truck wash is around Vancouver (Main/Cambie). Google was not very helpful.
There was one on Main/23rd, but it's not there anymore...
Any ideas?

Maybe these guys: http://www.easywash.ca/section.asp?pageid=5735
I have never used them for the van. The FAQ about the mirrors prevents me from going there.
Maximum Vehicle Height / Width
The maximum vehicle height is 7 feet.
The maximum vehicle width is 9ft.
This includes all appendages such as mirror. For larger trucks please fold in your mirrors prior to entering the wash.

Thanks Gregg, but it's quite a way for a car wash... Anything closer?Golf Cart wrote:Felix,

Thanks Isaac. Went to Easywash once, but was not impressed at all. The van was almost as dirty as before. Also 7feet is way to low now.

Almost any gas station on the weekend has a softball, soccer, hockey team washing cars for donation. Slip 'em a 10, sit back and have someone do the work for you.

Also I asked at a couple gas stations with a car wash to use just their pressure washer. No luck.

Felix, come to 3rd & Chesterfield in North Van where I wash my Brick; I do not see any height restrictions there.

If you're having to go that far afield, there's one down here near Imperial & Royal Oak in Burnaby that offers the standard car wash facilities (DIY), and they have an overheight spot or two too.
Come for a trip to wonderful metrotown (sic) and wash your van too!

Felix,
Isn't there one just by your place on Main near 22nd? It's a wash it yourself type of place. There's also the one near my house, it's on Royal Oak just North of the Sky Train station.

Maybe we should have a truck washing party - I need to wash the winter off our vehicle too...

Re: Truck wash in Vancouver?
Any time guys!
I realised this evening that I forgot to wash off the underneath of our vehicle though... bugger.
Still, that's an excuse to drive through some big puddles. Not like I needed one anyway.

Thanks, but we talked about Easywash a few post further up. I'm not impressed with this car wash. The clearance is also not enough.flyfishn wrote:There's an easy wash on Main/Mtn Hwy just over the Iron Workers Memorial/2nd Narrows here in North Van.
