Vegetable oil

Post by Baba's Delica »

Hello All,
We just bought our Delica last week and we love it! I was wondering if anyone out there has converted their Delica to run on vegetable oil. How is it going? What is the process like? Are there risks? Is it expensive? Any info would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Enjoy the beautiful weather.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
There is a section just about WVO on this forum. I'm pretty sure you will find all the information you are looking for there... http://www.delica.ca/forum/wvo-and-biodiesel-12/

We just add about 1/4 tank of filtered WVO into our diesel tank, just pour it into the filler tube with a funnel, absolutely no modifications required, runs even better than pure diesel. If it is cold weather at night, I just don't add any oil.

Please update your profile so we know where you live, the Delica Community can give you more help and advice when we know your specifics. We live in Burnaby so our temperature & conditions may differ from yours.

Christine.
