Which spare parts should we take along?

We are leaving to our 4 weeks trip to the Yukon soon. Almost done with organizing everything as well as done with all the mods on our Deli. The only thing I'm not so sure about is what kind of spare parts should we bring along? Some post I found here recommend to bring almost the half car in spar parts, which is a little bit overkill (in my opinion/for this trip). Also I'm not a mechanic which means I'm fine with changing filters, fixing hoses etc, but nothing serious.
Our Delica had an extensive treatment from Edwin at CVI. All fluids, belts (inkl. timing), waterpump, thermostat, brakepads, bushings, shocks are brand new. He also did the Delica tune last Oktober. Therefore the car should be in good conditions.
We will be in some pretty remote areas (Dempster, North Canol Hwy, lots of explorations off the hwy), but I'm not too worried about the Delica is going to fall apart there...
Thanks to this great community there is also the option to call CVI, Mardy or CCAuto to order some parts per express mail if we really brake down.

Anyway, beside a set of filters (oil, fuel, air) and tires which spare part would be really necessary to bring along?

U- joints for sure would be an idea, especially if you are going off road at all. I'm not sure if you'd be able to replace them yourself though. How "limited" are you with tools and such? I can show you how when you come by the shop in the next couple of days.

This trip really sounds like a lot of fun

see if you can "borrow" a starter and alternator, to be returned if unused
auto hub rebuild kit or manual hubs
bring a section of heater hose in case one blows

Spare tyres; headlamps; running lamp lenses; perhaps spare mirrors?

There of course are things that will come in handy but there comes a time when you gotta ask yourself: Do I really need these five spare water pumps for this trip?

Haven't had a U-Joint in my hand, but sounds feasible to have a spare.
Will bring basic tools like wrenches, vice grips, screw drivers etc...
Thanks for the offer, I'm always interested to learn new stuff.

after oil,
I would count starter and alternator as overkill, but maybe I should think about that too. Could not change it myself anyway....maybe in an emergency.
I already installed Superwinch manual hubs.
Are this heater hoses the standard hoses you can buy at Lordco? Or a special order for a Delica?

starter is overkill until your starter doesnt work. starters and alrternators are generally easy to install.

when i traveled in mexico i had a few feet of heater hose from a roll at an auto shop, and hose clamps. if youspring a leak or burst a hose itll get you going again

I would bring things that if broken, cannot be found locally.

These things can be repaired or replaced almost anywhere with the American Montero counterpart but you would need heavy/specialty tools to replace some of them yourself off the road :

Starter rebuild
Alternator/bearings/volt regulator
U-joints
Brakes
Seals/bearings
Wheels/rims/studs

Things like these I would bring with myself :

spare heater/fuel hoses & clamps
water & coolant for engine
extra oil
fuel/air/oil filters 1 o' ea
toggle switch / wire / wire cutters / spare relay in case your headlights go out
good air compressor to inflate tires
tire repair kit
brake cleaner
can compressed air to blow dust out of air filter
shop towels/rags
metric wrench/socket set
test light or voltmeter if you can use it
lots of bug spray

Is there a special diameter for the Delica hoses? Or can I just walk to Lorco and buy them off the shelve?

Still the question if I should bring a full set of belts even they were recently changed?

Belts are light weighted and easy to store inside your van, why not? Get a set of new front brake lines. My front brake line broke on the road before.

Because they are actually not that cheap and I don't want them to sit around unused for the next couple years and become older...
I would take them for sure if I knew the belts maybe need to be changed, but in our case I hope they are fine for a while...

I'd take belts but just down south where the climate the dry & dusty.

If your belts are new or good, there's no need.

You can take every spare part you can fit but where do you draw the line ?

Belts can be shipped fast via air.
