I'm about to embark on making curtains and I had a question.
When you are opening and closing the curtains is it easy to do with one hand or do you need two, one on the bottom slider and one on the top slider? I was thinking of inserting a piece of plastic on the leading edge that would hopefully make it easier.

Re: Curtain question
We just made our curtains and I find that you actually need two hands. If the plastic sliders don't stay flat they get jammed.
This is what we did...

Re: Curtain question
the factory curtains have a stiffened strip in the leading edge which makes it easier to use one hand (though 2 is still easier)

Re: Curtain question
Mine don't. Don't forget that you have the (ex-)power curtains, which are somewhat different from the stock ones. My stock ones don't have any stiffener, so two hands are de rigour.Green1 wrote:the factory curtains have a stiffened strip in the leading edge which makes it easier to use one hand (though 2 is still easier)

Re: Curtain question
I actually re-checked mine, it appears that only the rear curtain has this stiffened strip in the leading edge. Even so, my curtains seem to move more easily than yours...
