When to use overdrive?

Post by alec »

Hi there,
Just got the van back with a new transmission... great to have her back.

When is the best time to use overdrive? and how should you go into it?
I'm assuming it is for going up hills and you just push the button?

More info on how to drive to make these Delicas last would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Overdrive is for hwy cruising NOT for going UP hills....you turn OD off for hills or around town or when towing. Can also be turned off when decending hills to use the engine's braking force.
