Ok, this one has me stumped. Both the RPM-o-meter and the Fuel gauge have stopped registering today and both constantly read well below 0 and E respectively with no life to be seen in either. I'm going to be poking about to see if there are any obvious issues, but none of the driving was out of the ordinary today, so I'm going blind. Filled up the tank to see if the fuel gauge would come back... but still nothing.
Any ideas on what I should be looking for?
Cheers

Possibly put silicon lubricant in the cable? Are they still hooked up?

Hey Free, I would say the first thing I'd do is pop out the dash cluster and see if perhaps there's a connection that's come loose on the back. It's a bit of a long shot, but it's somewhere to start. Search for 'removing dash' and you'll find a how-to. It's super easy.
I'm pretty sure the rpm is driven by a cable, so it's either broken at the cluster end, or where ever the other end leads to!?
Good luck

I'll be trying that (dash and cable) right now. Not sure what I'm looking for in tracing the cables to the engine/fuel tank, but I'm going to start with the dash and go from there...

While you have it apart, silicon/oil it anyhow ~ can't hurt.

I have everything unscrewed... I'm assuming that I simply, yet carefully, pull off the connections in the back. They are a touch tight...

Also, My RPM gauge has always read 1000 below it's actual. Any ways of zeroing it? While I'm as this?
Falco - what points should I be lubing at? All? heh
Edit:
Snelson - the RPM gauge is not cable driven...

Pulled the dash apart, reset the RPM needle by pulling it off and simply repositioning it, it wasn't on too sturdy in the first place.
Hooked the dash back up to the harnesses and voila! Everything is working. :S
I don't know what I fixed (probably two loose connections) but it's all kosher now. Weird x2 how that all went down however.
