Stereo Removal

Post by Roodman »

I'm sure this question exists somewhere, but I can't seem to find it through a search. I'm about to pull out the stock radio, but not sure how to access it.

The speaker removal posts have been invaluable, the replacement went really well. I've got an amp mounted behind my drivers seat now and wired in. The stereo is the last bit remaining. Any direction is much appreciated!!

The black trim around the stereo and climate control comes off with three phillips screws located under the dash (on the bottom of the trim). Once those are removed, the stereo comes out with 4 more phillips on the face of the mounting bracket. The ashtray I think needs to come out too, can't quite remember, been a while. Its actually pretty straight forward once you get into it. Next time I go out for a smoke I'll have a look, maybe even some pics.

Thanks guys - I went out after posting this, looked around and found the screws - guess I was just chicken after the speaker experience.... :)

The install went well! The system sounds incredible and the sub really makes the sound rich.
