Post by MrDuncon »

Hi, I have a simple question:

Which one is the parking-light and which one is the turn signal?

The reason of my question is that i have an European version of Deli and i know it's different than japan ver.

Now these are my lights:

  • 1/ Indicator (side)
    2/ Indicator/flood light (side)
    3/ Low Beam headlamp
    4/ High Beam headlamp (with city light, if you have it hooked up)

The next two are differently configured than the ones in Canada, but here's a guess:
  • 5/ Running light or forward marker
    6/ Indicator (forward)

A & B: See 1 & 2.

Falco.

I have to disagree with Falco slightly. His answer tells me that his Delica is wired in the usual BC fashion.

Mine was unmodified from the Japanese when I got it, so stock is:
1= turn signal repeater
2= cornering light
3= low beam
4= high beam. (and city light on some models)

The japanese ones have no side marker lights. Canada requires them, so there are 3 choices: a) add a light, b) re-wire the white cornering light into an amber side marker, or c) re-wire the turn signal repeater to be both side marker and turn signal. 'C' is what I did, and is my preferred option, and is the easiest (instruction here on the forum).

5 & 6 are very different from ours. In approximately that location we have a white marker light beside an amber turn signal, but they do not wrap around to the side, they face forward only.
