The ultimate destination: Meager Creek Hot Springs
The summer is hot but you can get even hotter at Meager Creek Hot Springs. We made a trip a week ago, May 30 and were really happy we did it. The commute to the destination was easy and simple, the campground was clean and quiet and the hot springs were awesome. I think we will never go to Sloquet HS again. Here are some pictures for you.

Re: The ultimate destination: Meager Creek Hot Springs
Coming back home through Pemberton looked too simple and boring so we decided to go through Goldbridge-Lillooet-Lytton and again we were happy we did it. Before hitting Hurley FSR we went to Pebble Creek to check out another hot springs but found it too extreme to be completed that day; we spare it for the next time.

Re: The ultimate destination: Meager Creek Hot Springs
Awesome!
Thank you so much for sharing! This has just hit the top of my list for things to do in the next month or two.
Looks reasonably straight forward to get up there from a bit of a gander at Google Maps, any tips?
Note: At first I thought that was a winch on the front of the VW... That would have made it a tough bus!

Awe Ya, its awesome up there. Went there with my then girlfriend now wife about 15 years ago. It was our first big road trip together. Drove out from Winnipeg and spent a month touring around southern BC in the old tercel (great car). Meager Creak hot springs was the highlight. Your second pic brings me right back.....good times.
Cheers

Just as an FYI to all those deli-ites with dogs, you can't go to Meager Creek with your four legged family members, according to the search I did just now.

Jaz:
Coming to Pemberton on 99 from Vancouver turn left at Petro Canada gas station, follow the main road making another left and then the right (at Esso) turns. The road is paved for the first 20 km and then you will see a sign 'Meager Creek HS 48 km'. 700 m prior to the actual hot springs turn you will see a campground. It is a simple route.

Simple, I like that. Less chance of getting lost, eaten by bears, and carried off by mosquitos.
Thanks!

Unfortunately for you there are some complications at the end: be aware of bears in the springs area and make sure you have an anti-mosquito gear on the campground.Less chance of getting lost, eaten by bears, and carried off by mosquitos.

Re: The ultimate destination: Meager Creek Hot Springs
Have they re-opened the big bridge over the river (a few km before the hotsprings) now? It was washed away last winter.
Great Photos,
Cheers, Christine.

Everything is open, safe and clean except a couple of pools.

Wow! Has that changed from my memories. My dad took me there in 79, the place was raw and loggers didn't like anyone coming there. I think there was three maybe four pools and a geyser of hot water coming out of the ground. I definitely will have to take the wifey there. Thanks for the pictures!

Re: The ultimate destination: Meager Creek Hot Springs
please note that No Dogs are allowed at Meager Creek Hot Spring. The dog ban is entirely a health matter, as the springs are not required to be chlorinated, and the Coastal Health Authority has threatened closure of the springs if dogs are permitted on site.
