day camping area

Post by phunka »

So I was talking with a buddy at work today, and we are both kind of wondering if there are any day use, rv park areas in Vancouver? I'm saying no, and he thinks yes.

You know the type, pay bathrooms/picnic table, maybe a power outlet or two.

The reason I ask, is I'm going to be between apartments for a couple days, and am kind of hoping I can find an area like that to park at night and shower after work. I don't really want to commute too far to be able to do that (I work downtown)

Hopefully someone can recommend a spot?

Isnt there one right off Gaglardi Way?
South of Lougheed , and East of Gaglardi. You see it to your right when you come off the #1 heading for SFU.

Hey Phunka,

Golf Cart is right, http://www.bcrvpark.com Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground, looks beautifully clean, just off Gaglardi Exit.

Also very nice one at Anmore, just by Buntzen Lake, the owners are our friends and like Delii.

What dates are you wanting, if we're home the TardisDeli Motel welcomes all Delii, not just from Calgary. Our little cottage is just off Gaglardi exit in Burnaby, quiet parking, hot shower, and you can actually sleep in our guest room (or if you buy Jay steak dinners he might move his boat so your Deli can sleep in the back yard). If you're at the CVI Deli-Meat tomorrow, we can chat.

Cheers, Christine.

Well, it's kind of for a touchy reason. Me and what I thought was the love of my life, who i've shared my life with for the past 5+ years, are going our own ways.

I thought about this all day today and I think I would like to spend a summer at the rv park, it would save me a fortune on rent, and I could get cozy with my new deli. I would just put all my 'apartmently' goods into storage.

ooops, side note, looking at the rates of that RV park, it would be more per month than the new apartment I'm looking at...Dang! I'm going to call tomorrow and see if there is any wiggle room for long term.

The one by buntzen, what would a morning commute to the convention centre in vancouver be approx.? I'm new to vancouver and have never had to commute, don't really have a good idea of what its like.

I might go out to the meet tomorrow, I could use some distraction from the home life.

Google "Capilano RV Park". It is across the water from the convention center. 10 minute drive.

awesome thanks!

So should i be expecting these to be totally booked up? I think I could probably get away with a tent site.
