Trade a 2007 Toyota Yaris for a L300 Delica?
Hi I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris that I was using to commute from Duncan to Victoria. I am no longer commuting and would like to trade for a Good Delica.
It is a two door hatch with 49000K, mostly Highway, Manual transmission, and a great little commuter car. There is 11000K left on the bumper to bumper warranty and 61000K on the powertrain warranty.
I am looking for a 92 or 93 Low mileage, great shape L300 delica super exceed with the crystal lite roof (or sunroof).
I think the dollar value of both vehicles is roughly the same and would be willing to do a straight trade.
If you are intrested please email me at smarsh102@yahoo.com
Thanks Sean

You're asking for twice the vehicle to trade straight across! Okay, that's just size.
Actually it's a pretty even trade (in my mind too), but unless somebody no longer wants their Delica for the very same reasons you want one - carry half-dozen people, camping, off-roading, cargo, work, touring, enjoying, looking cool, having fun and getting noticed - well, I wish you luck.
Note: a low odometer reading on a diesel isn't necessarily the same good thing it is on a gasoline-engined vehicle. Usually, after a 100 000 km a diesel has 'settled-in', and considering these vehicles are 15+ years old, if it only had 40-50k I'd be wondering how long it was sitting, either in the driveway or in traffic. Just my thoughts.

Thanks J.Paul I am hoping that someone out there has a Delica and needs a commuter. If I can't find any one I am probably going to go to Five Star and do the trade in thing. But they of course need to make some money on the deal so I would have to make up the difference.
And thanks FalcoColumbarius and phunka we have the most colorful house on the block.

Yaris's are awesome little cars.
You just need to find a trader.

So if/when you get a Deli are you going to repaint the house to match it too?
(btw, I was thinking of doing the same thing with my 2007 Toyota Matrix)

Re: Trade a 2007 Toyota Yaris for a L300 Delica?
I'm a recent Deli buyer too ....
We had a 2005 Mazda3, in great shape with low miles, and wanted to trade up to the Delica. So after searching long and hard for the right Delica, we bought it, then put the Mazda3 up for sale privately. Took 2 weeks to sell the Mazda3 .... for about the same price as we spent on the Delica. More hassle this way I suppose, and it took some cash flow to handle, but in the end very happy with the results!!
Best of luck with your hunt!

Go have a look at chrysler abbotsford. I had a 04 mazda3 funny enough, that they would take as a trade in for a deli. It's in pretty good shape I think. Worth looking into. It says 155,000 km but it's actually about 120,000. good luck

Re: Trade a 2007 Toyota Yaris for a L300 Delica?
I went and had a look at the delica in Abbotsford today. Took it to CVI for an inspection he says mechanically sound. However the Roof has a rather large corrosion problem and suggested that it is very expensive to repair. In the end I decided they were not going to offer me enough for the yaris and I did not want to pay to much for a delica with a leaky roof.
So still looking for someone to trade........
