Offroading, in the metropolis of Port McNeill, no way.
It is all for show.
I drive around and around my town of 3 streets just to get recognition from the three townspeople.
Just kidding!
I have a very functional van that has full length dents down both sides to prove it, either that or I don't drive very well!
I use the van to acces rivers lakes and surf spots in the North Island.
Gravel roads, four wheeler trails, a river crossing or two, gravel pits, even the moto cross track for fun once, this van has done it!
Still no gouges out of the tire treads though. This in conjunction with the lack of any type of audible indication of contact leaves me to belive that the tires don't rub.

Yup, mudders all the way. So, Adam, when you do some more trimming, could you take a picture or two, maybe a side shot of your van so I can compare it to mine.... just so I have an Idea what I have to trim out. It would save trial and error. I do have till next saturday (I'll scream if I dont get them by then, the waiting is killing me)Adrock wrote: I think emily is going to go under the knife (angle grinder) again soon to clean up some more. I think I even have rubbing in the back.
Josh are you going mudders?

Time is against me. No 31's this weekend.
Once I adjust the Tbars, which Alignment shop would you guys recommend in the lower mainland?
Specifically one that can center the hub/wheels as well.
Thanks
Jesse

WestCoast Alignment have done a lot of Delica and can do the full package. They are on Pender in East Van... Someone also posted about a shop in NorthVan?

Re: Wheels & Tires parts 1 and 2
hi guys, is it possible to fit 30x12.5x15's or 31x12.5x15's ? any issues or driving problems? or whats the best setup to go for without hastles..mines a manual box so no auto issues... also going to lift 2 inch over std with bruces shackles and wind up torsion bars at front..

If you're only going up 1.5-2" and running 12" wide rims the biggest question would be what is your offset/backspacing ?rabskyline wrote:hi guys, is it possible to fit 30x12.5x15's or 31x12.5x15's ? any issues or driving problems? or whats the best setup to go for without hastles..mines a manual box so no auto issues... also going to lift 2 inch over std with bruces shackles and wind up torsion bars at front..
I'm running 31x10.5 on 8" wide rim with 3.75" backspacing and it's pretty much maxed out.
The sliding door will not open all the way. I will have to fabricate an extension for the door latch.
Also I had to take a BFH (Big F&^%$#& Hammer) and a grinder to the front wheel arches so that the tires didn't catch and grind against the sheet metal.
I'm guessing with 12" wide rims, you'd need at the very least a 4" backspacing and will have to do a bunch of cutting/grinding. On the rear you will be fine for clearance.

Re: Wheels & Tires parts 1 and 2
wont do that then buddy.. so, 31/30x 10.5 on 8 inch rims is ok ? lift wil be via tosion tweek and shackles by bruce for a while till i can save for a proper pro setup in a while...i actually think thats what bruce said anyway..

31x10.5 on 8" wide rims is okay but you will have to do some cutting and mod the sliding door depending on backspacing.rabskyline wrote:wont do that then buddy.. so, 31/30x 10.5 on 8 inch rims is ok ? lift wil be via tosion tweek and shackles by bruce for a while till i can save for a proper pro setup in a while...i actually think thats what bruce said anyway..
For reference mine is 15x8" 3.75" backspacing with a 10.5 wide tire. That puts it just a touch to rub against the sliding door.
BUT... the footprint is much wider than stock giving the Deli a more solid feel when driving.
There's always a catch when lifting/tire modding any vehicle.

Before you inve$t in rims, see if you can try them on.
At least one of them for a test.
Or you can measure the offset/backspacing with a ruler and a piece or flat something.
15x7 3.75" backspacing seems to be average
15x8 3.75" backspacing = fender flares, cutting wheel wells, sliding door extension.
If you're looking for the widest rim without any modifications, a 15x7 Pajero/Shogun rim will work. Looking at your pic (hard to tell) but you may have 7's on there.
