Got to ride my first Deli today!
Of course I had to take the train from Victoria all the way to Parksville. Met Jacob @ 5-Star Auto there and he showed me their selection of Deli's! I was totally impressed with this: http://fivestarautosales.ca/find.php?ac ... 77b769a292
A little more expensive than most only because of the work that CCauto pours into them! I only had 3 hours in Parksville as the train heading southbound rearrived at the station @ 2:30 so i was in a bit of a rush, however, Jacob was nice enough to let me take the Deli for a spin and then suggested I drive out to the train station to save me the hassle! talk about service! anyways, as I am totally new to all this buying a used car thing, any input on that particular model and things I should look out for? I have to say that the Van itself drove like a brand new car and from what I could see had no obvious issues. Some things will need to be replaced ie. hand rails and some other small odd's and ends but overall i had a good feeling about the whole thing!

I would shop around before you pay 14K for a 100,000 Km`s area Delica. For that price, you should be getting a pristine example for sure. Also always a third party inspection is in order when your buying locally.

Be wary of anything UNDER 100,000km. And if you want a bus inspected before buying it your best bet is ccautos, who, in this case, already inspected it. I didn't buy a 5-Star bus, but the one I did buy went straight into ccautos for the refit - Garranteed Glen the lads a ccautos are top shelf.Delicafan wrote:I would shop around before you pay 14K for a 100,000 Km`s area Delica. I did ask about the pricing and was told and shown the items that have been replaced with new items. 20-25 new things added to the van...and inspencted by ccauto so I said, meh that seems reasonable...however, they are getting about 5 more of this particular model in over the next couple weeks so I will be looking into that. The fact that 5star is on the island is a big bonus...so much cheaper to just drive up island that take the silly ferry. I haven't found any better deals on the island....ummm but yes it would be prudent to shop around...don't worry all my money is still in the bank!
