second impressions..What do you use you van for?
second impressions..What do you use you van for?
I got to admit that I was afraid that I would suffer from buyers remorse after buying the RHD. At first I figured that I would really only drive this van on trips, but after a week of driving in different roads, I'm ready to make this my daily driver. It is just awesome! Do you guys drive your to commute and run errands or do you just use it for trips? Just wondering.
Cheers

I use mine for everything... Its out only vehicle presently. It has been all over northern BC, down the south coast of the USA, and been all through the Kootenays as well. Presently I sleep in it 3 nights a week... (I am going to school in a town 150km away... and the rest of the week my wife and I bomb all over the place... I love it!

Hi, originally we purchased our first to convert it to WVO and do our traveling with it. It quickly turned into our daily driver also, very quickly. Last year I purchased our second for a work vehicle, and couldn't be happier in every way with it's 'work-ability'.
My first veggie fill this year.

Cheers

My delica is a daily driver and work truck. Since I bought it 8 months ago I have put on 30,000 km. I am a forest worker so it also gets to see lots of gravel, unmaintained roads, mud, deactivations, etc. I am thoroughly impressed with it's capabilities and reliability, just need to do something with the radiators under the steps soon and rearrange the snow shovel on the main radiator.

The plan for mine was to use it on weekend events, and drive something smaller during the week... but I love the Delica too much, so I'm selling my other vehicle...
I use the vehicle as my only vehicle, however here is what I bought the van for, and I love it for these purposes:
- camping in it
- mild off-road (ok, more lousy road/good cut-line then real offroad)
And specifically to do these events:
- radio support and communication control post (mobile office with lots of radios)
- field ambulance
I have yet to use it in the ambulance capacity, but I should be doing that on an event in the next couple weeks... everything else it has excelled at so far!

glorified grocery getter
With two kids, and likely more pending, this will be our daily ride. It'll see few camping sites, hopefully a coastal road trip in the summer, and with any luck some abuse on the odd disused logging road.
I couldn't commit to the mini van and thankfully the wife bought into the Delica craze.
In fact, I was out tonight for a cruise, and after spending the last few nights fixing a few odds and ends, and having a stereo installed today (w/ Ipod controller), I admit I was totally thrilled. This things rocks.
(although ask me a week from now when I've spending 6 hours underneath the things with nasty goo dripping in my face!)
