Re: rear reflective strip
That strip is actually lighted and not just a reflector, could be you have a bad connection and that is why it isn't lighting.

Re: rear reflective strip
I should mention that the "reflective strip" isn't actually reflective, it just looks like it should be...

Re: rear reflective strip
Probably best to take the specs to a sticker/label shop, have them make one up for you. That's what I'm thinking of doing with the decal I have in mind for the back of my ride (once I removed the light bar and clean up the rear gate).1ukBoggy wrote:Thanks everybody,, Do you know if they are an off the shelf part or will I need to hunt it down?

Re: rear reflective strip
It looks like you have a 1990 Delica like mine.
We don't have that bar across the back that lights up.
That's the newer model of L300.
I put a reflective strip from Princess Auto across my
tow bar to make it a lot more visable.

Re: rear reflective strip
most sign shops can cut you anything you want, reflective or not. I do this as a side bussiness. The thing that will cost a bit is the computer time designing what you want. once thats done its easy.

the red bar doesn't, nor is it reflective, however the word "DELICA" does light up with the running lights, however it is very subtle, so it can't be seen at all during the day, and can even be hard to see if there are lots of street lights around. So that (big red bar) that says "DELICA" is supposed to light up?

Re: rear reflective strip
CC Autos, aka Coombs Country Autos on Vancouver Island, has several used ones in stock, I saw them this weekend on our Annual Coombs Delica Fest. These are the red plastic strip that goes across the back of the deli, similar plastic to a reflector strip, is about 4 inches high, and has the letters DELICA that light up with your headlights on. You can PM them via this site, their ID is ccautos. Cheers, Christine.

Re: rear reflective strip
Its easy to fix with a new halogen bulb, soldering iron and epoxy. Took me 1/2 hour to do one side of mine. Looked pretty funnyflyfishn wrote:So that (big red bar) that says "DELICA" is supposed to light up?
