Headlight WTF......

While doing the 'Wet Floorboard' fix, (which I succeeded at by the way), I came across this:

What is that all about? Should that 'Wire?' be connected? Should there be a bulb in that 'Light?', and if so which one. Any tips, comments or advice is muchly appreciated and thanked in advance.

That wire leads to a smaller bulb that meets european daytime running light needs. Here in canada they wire up our lowbeams for the daytime running light. So most people that wire up the lights just snip that wire. At least thats my understanding. I personally used that small bulb for my running lights and dont seem to burn out as many bulbs any more.

you could probably get a really bright LED to go in there and then it would be legit for DRL

i got that wired for my DRL. you can get a 10w bulb for it and its fine for DRL
