Are Delicas Stable? This took place a couple of weeks ago but this is what happened:
I was driving east into Vancouver having just crossed the Lions Gate Bridge. The traffic was light and I had two lanes in my favour. Usually the traffic flow is at around 80 Km/h but this time there was one vehicle in front of me doing the speed limit (60 Km/h). I took this opportunity to practice holding 60 as the Causeway changes inclination and although it is easy to keep the vehicle between 55 & 65 ~ it can be a challenge to hold precisely 60 as the terrain changes.
As I emerged from the park, by Lost Lagoon another car was coming out from Stanley Park with their indicator on. This all happened very fast. By this time I had let my foot off of the accelerator and I estimate I was moving at close to 55 Km/h as there was slow traffic up ahead. I assumed that the car emerging from Stanley Park was going to pull in behind me as they were doing around 20 Km/h when suddenly they pulled in in front of me! I locked up the brakes and the MLB immediately bowed before the emperor and the the Yokohamas began screaming. At this point the car in front put their brakes on. All became slow motion & wavy and I thought "I'm going to kill these people". I threw the wheel to the right and I drifted sideways ~ I estimate for 20 to 30 feet. She stopped like a professional NHL hockey player and I had a beautiful view of the fountain in Lost Lagoon. Fortunately, the oncoming wave of traffic were braking and not going to broadside me. I was sooo happy that the Miss Lil' Bitchi had escaped without a scratch!

this is one thing I've found with these vehicles, they're light on the back end, especially in hard braking, it's very easy to end up with the back end kicking out, and I do worry that it will get me in trouble some day...

Re: Miss Lil' Bitchi does a "Tokyo Drift" on the Causeway.
The only reason she kicked out was because I turned the wheel right ("I threw the wheel to the right"). Up until that point, albeit a short period of time, she was braking directly forward. I believe that Mitsubishi designed the displacement of these vans with braking in mind. The same principles are used in martial arts with body positioning. And yes, too bad it wasn't caught on camera ~ don't really want to try it again...

Confusius say;
Good drivers in bad situations recieve good ending. Bad drivers in bad situation usually drive their Small Suv into the back of vehicle in front of them while applying their makeup and talking on cell-phone, and then scream at dude in front for stopping too fast!!!
