Left the van out and it grew again. Managed to get the lift in, install my old LSD rear end, and put the 33's on. Here it is in comparison to Josh's. Josh has extended shackles, cranked bars, and 31's.
It was a handful in the strong winds today, but not a lot worse than before. I used the torsion bars from the diesel Delica. They are just under 1 mm thicker than the petrol ones so it stiffens up the ride a bit (my oversize ones are still an option). I used the LSD off my diesel Delica and left the front as is. From everything I can find the gear ratios are the same on all 4wd differentials. (I won't be able to check this until snow flies when the winters go back on). Speedometer used to read 10 km over at 100 km/hr and is now 5 km/hr under. RPM's at 100 km/hr on old tires (235/75r15) - 3150, on 33's - 2900.

Got some shots of head on and rear?
33/12.5/15 s?
What width of rim?
Right on! ................
He's got 33/10.5/15's, I believe with the 7" wise rim. It looks sick. It made mine look super wimpy (and of course I just made the switch from muds to AT's which didnt help)
I am soo jealous James. It looks great.
PS. please dont flip this one!
Josh
Thanks for the comments, we can do this to Adrock's just time and a few parts and tires. The tires are actually 265/75r16's, just a hair under 33 and 10.5" wide.
I just drove 1300 km's yesterday to find my way to Red Deer. There were no issues on the highway, still need to trim the front fenders a bit. Fuel economy is basically the same, the lower RPM's offset the heavy wheels. It does lose a bit of speed on the hills, but it still blows away a diesel.
When I get back home I'll take a few more pictures.
Snap, that looks good! Surprised to hear that there's two deli lovers in Smithers. I grew up there so its good to hear from that part of the world every once and awhile.

James is actually in houston, but there are three of us in smithers (suprisingly I havent met the third, just heard rumors) and at least two more in hazelton that I know of... so they are starting to pop up more often.
Of course James officially has the coolest one up here now.
are you saying that those tires would fit on my 15x7 rims or are those 8s? I will be in need of new rubber next spring I think, and if the lift parts don't cost too much I would seriously consider it. I still think 33s would improve my van as the 5 speed tranny is so short.

Adrock, You should be able to put 33 x 9.5 x 15's on the standard rim. I know that BFG still makes an All Terrain in that size. But it is difficult to get. On the other hand, my 16" rims were only $200 new.
Gilbert, I saved the LSD rear off my wrecked van (a loaded up Super Exceed) with the intention of selling or reusing, so reuse it is.
The next project will be turbo charging. Although it still easily outperfoms the diesels with 33's, I do lose speed on the hills. Hungry Hill is the test, pre-lift I could pull 95km/h no problem, with 33's 85 km/h is a bit of work, and with the diesel 70 km/h was pushing hard. I can get a used turbo set up off a early 90's Chrysler Sebring and basically bolt it on, put in the computer, and a few other things and I'll be pushing 200 hp, no more hills to stop me!!!
I also have to put in a steering stabilizer and I am going to have to put in the heavy duty torsion bars. Last night on my drive home from Thanksgiving dinner, it was quite windy. I was being blown around quite a bit and somewhere the RCMP got behind me. Just outside Houston, one gust pushed me onto the shoulder and the officer had seen enough. He pulled me over under the suspicion of impaired driving. I explained the wind was blowing my around, but he was absolutely sure I had more than 1 small glass of wine. He was very surprised when I said I'd blow and blew a big fat zero. Oh well, now he knows and will let the others know and leave me alone again.
OUCH! I highly recommend against that! the standard rim is not nearly wide enough to accommodate a tire of that size safely, and any reputable tire shop will refuse to do it, the risk of the tire coming off the rim is too high, for safety the standard rim is only good for up to about a 29" tire, you need a wider rim.

it is a bigger size tire but it is narrower than the ones I have on my factory rims, you need to remember that there are 2 width of rim from the factory if I'm not mistaken, there are 6" and 7". I have the 7"wide rim and 31 x 10.5 x 15 BFG AT KOs and where installed at a Kal tire.
