Black smoke reducer

Post by Longboardsurfer »

Hello

I have yet to get my Delica as it is still in Japan waiting for the ro ro.
How ever I'm trying to looking to as much info as possible and just came across this item and was wondering if anyone has tried or even heard about the item before. Not really sure if it is really needed, but i would like to do as much as i can to run the truck as clean as possible before i can afford to make fule alterations to a better optioin then diesel. I am glad to hear what ya'll say.

Have fine day. 8)

It may be one of those IE quirks, the image of the plate came up fine for me.

It would seem the school of thought is that cleaning the EGR throughly or installing the blanking plate create the same result; bit more power and less black smoke. Though even if you are considering installing the plate, the EGR valve is right there. Taking it off is a moderate job and huge amounts of black junk come off it when you dunk it in carb cleaner.

Longboard surfing, I'm hoping to try that for the first time next weekend. Also, my son wants to try surfing.

Cheers
