Electrical work referals

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Electrical work referals

Post by tomanique »

As electrical problems are not my forte, can anyone point me in the direction of a shop or person who can help me tackle a growing list of electrical problems?

My list:
a) the flourescent light over the middle seats is very dim (and the dimmer doesn't work)
b) my DRL has failed (for a second time) and the only way my tail lights and dash lights come on is if I run with my fogs on too
c) the fan/heater for the passengers in the back doesn't work anymore
and last but certainly not least
d) something is stopping my glow plugs from working properly, I hear the "clicking" but nothing is happening. Makes for a long, smoky start in the mornings and I'm worried about the upcoming colder temps

Thanks
Tom

Hey Tom

I see you're in Chilliwack.

I would recommend Edwin's (mechanic and magician) services at CVI located in Richmond.

Thanks jfarsang

Yeah I'm here in the home of cheap diesel and ample FSRs.
I heard from a coworker (and a co-delica driver) the the folks at CVI weren't to wild on electrical. I know they helped him with an issue or two but it sounded like the leaned towards the mechanical side.
However, thanks for the heads up, I'll check them out.

Cheer
Tom

Electrical gremlins on any vehicle can be a time consuming process to diagnose.

If you'd like someone closer who has worked on Delica's, I'd alternatively suggest Jesse at Parkside Automotive in Langley, BC (604)309-7718.

He's knowledgeable and is moderately priced for shop rate work. Sometimes he takes on more than he can chew on as he's a one-man show, but he does far above-average work. I'd recommend him. He's in south Langley close to 200 st/8th ave.
