Torque specs for valve cover gasket?

Hi guys, looks like the wiki is down - I can't get in.
Anyhow, I'm trying to find some torque specs for the L300 valve cover gasket if anyone knows them?

was thinking the same myself earlier tonight as I went to learn about the injection pump. anyway a forum search found me this new link!

4D56 Engine Manual says Rocker Cover Bolts should be torqued to 6Nm/0.6kgm/4ft.lbs. (your choice of measurement system)
(I think that's what you mean by "valve cover gasket", as you don't torque a gasket, you torque the bolts that hold the 2 pieces together, the gasket just sits, and gets squished, between them)

All the engine torque specs (including this one) are on page 75 of the Russek manual.

Since this isn't a structural part, the correct torque is going to be to just cinch the gasket down and make a good seal. Four to five foot-pounds is just slightly more than finger tight.

I used to own a couple of air-cooled VWs. You get used to working in inch-pounds on those engines.
