Re: 1992 Delica Super Exceed for Parts
MOTOR/TRANS SOLD
All ACCESSORIES SOLD
Original post:
Great news, motor was tested today and results are in!
Every Cylinder hit 275PSI or more. I was using a compression tester that presses into the glow plug hole with a rubber cone shaped stopper to seal it and hold pressure, so not the most ideal. If anything, the results would only improve using a better tester:) I cranked the starter over and let it "bump" 5 or 6 times to get a solid reading. I did quite a few tests of each cylinder to get a good average between nearly 280psi and the minimum was 270psi, some cylinders went higher and lower on occasion but not consistently. Photos of results are attached.
This motor hasn't been run for over a month and the test was done dry (no fluids added) to see actual compression figures. I don't know what this motor should be (anyone?), but the owner of the compression tester was surprised it was that high, and all the cylinders were even, which is the main thing. Every compression tester will read differently, and the one I had on loan was less than stellar.
Motor will include: Engine Block and internals, oil pan, front cover, head, complete valvetrain, and valve cover. Anything else still attached is bonus:)
I can bring it to North Van, at no cost if you're patient, otherwise shipping is on your tab.
SOLD
Now may be a good time to pick up other maintenance items you may foresee a need for soon, while they're available and cheap, instead of when you're in a pinch. The more you take off my hands, the better the deal I'll give. Payment by Paypal (add 3%), direct deposit at RBC, or cash.

Timing Belt Kit: Timing Belt, Balance Shaft belt, Tensioners, Cam Pulley.
This was just installed about 3 months ago, and has done just over 2,000kms. It's near new and now broken in, would make an excellent kit to have on hand in the vehicle for those doing long trips with their Delica, or anyone who wants a timing belt that's been run in slightly and proven to be good.

Front Bumper and Lights
I'll include the lights that are on it, though there's no guarantee they work.
I planned to gravel guard it. It's in good shape but not perfect. I think smooth and shiny surfaces on the exterior of a vehicle is somewhat ridiculous...though I love chrome as much as any one else, it should be used as trim. Gravel guard is textured so it covers up flaws instead of highlighting them. It can easily be repaired with a simple respray as it blends well, a $10 can will last a decade for touch-ups. And it absorbs some of the energy when things like rocks hit it, lessening the impact. All good things that paint or chrome can't really do, I think the stuff should be on everything:)
I'm not sure how the bumper went on, or what should have been included. It looks as though there's the major brackets and maybe one side is different than the other? I can't see it being too difficult for any decent fabricator to mount up.
