Installing power steering

G'day Folks,

Back again...you may recall I was asking about decoding Vin Numbers on a 1984 L300 several days a go.

..so have bought the camper van ..but has no power steering, and sure is heavy going when parking etc..

Has anybody any experience with fitting power steering to one of these earlier models with a 1800 motor or
knows whether it can in fact be done ?

1984? You're going back a little further than most of us are familiar with - we only started importing these into Canada a couple of years ago, and a 1988 is the 'oldest' one I can recall.
