Front fan motor
Front fan motor
I've been having problems with the fan motor for my front heater, works but not well, and sometimes i have to give it a good smack to get it going. I'm trying to remove it to give it a good clean out, anyone know how it get those things out? seems to be a huge pain it the ass! Any help would be greatly appreciated. tks.

Re: Front fan motor
i think youre better off just wacking it when it aint working. otherwise i think you'll have to remove the whole dash

Re: Front fan motor
Jon,
I just checked my manual under the heading "FRONT HEATER UNIT& CONTROLS" and youre not gonna like #1
It says " remove the dashboard as previously described"
Then I looked at the "Dashboard Removal" section. Its actually not that bad......as far as dashes go. I'll try and scan the pages and send them to you for reference.
As far as the problem goes, it could be snot n gunk on the bearing holding the actual fan, or the bearing itself. Ive torn a few other vehicles apart because of the same problem. It could also just be the motor is tired. CCAuto should have one kicking around, and I have seen a few other posts about parting out Delicas
Cheers
