Group Buy - Custom Gauge Face
As some of you know that I am in Florida and I don't have a need for kph. There is a company called Black Cat Custom (www.blackcatcustom.com) in Niagara Falls, NY that is willing to make a new gauge face for the Delica L300. They are willing to do any set up that anyone would like. Kph or Mph or Both, auto or manual, petrol or diesel, any colors you would like, any custom logos. Right now a one off gauge will cost about $300US but if we can get at least five people they will give us a better price closer to $100US. I would really love to change out my gauge face but I really don't want to spend $300.
Also if anyone can donate an automatic cluster it would help us all out a lot. Doesn't matter if it is diesel or petrol they can change out tach lines.
reply or pm me if you are interested.

Re: Group Buy - Custom Gauge Face
Fortunately for we Canadians the speed postings on our highways are in KPH, so I would think spending money on converting our speedos to MPH to be an exercise in futility. When Canada went metric there was a little saying that we were taught to help us remember: 80 gives you 50; 50 gives you 30; and under 17 can give you 10 to 15
.
50 KPH is roughly 31.something MPH. 80 KPH is pretty much bang on 50 MPH. 160 KPH is 100 MPH. 100 KPH is about 62.5 MPH. There are 1.6 kilometres in one mile.
Falco.

I don't know, however with the sheer number of delicas over there I would suspect so, take a look and see. (is the face actually any different?)rhdpanda wrote:Do you know if they can get them in a manual petrol configuration.Green1 wrote:look at the UK site ( http://www.mdocuk.co.uk ) they have MPH gauges for sale for the L300 and L400s for substantially less than $300

The petrol version has a higher redline at 7000 rpm so the tach lines are closer together.Green1 wrote:I don't know, however with the sheer number of delicas over there I would suspect so, take a look and see. Or you could simply do like mine which doesn't matter if it's mph or km/h...

Re: Group Buy - Custom Gauge Face
how does that change the speedometer reading. It is still kph.
Also the custom gauge faces that they are offering are not just because I would like to have mph instead of kph but they can make any style of dash that you could want for a custom more modern look.

Re: Group Buy - Custom Gauge Face
I think it's a great idea! I would love to have both kph and mph as we are back in Ontario now and my wife is U.S which means all her family is in Michigan so we travel back and forth quite often.
Unfortunately, she is in university and not working so I don't have the extra money to do it.
We are close enough to Niagara Falls that maybe someday i'll swing by and check them out though!

Just received an email from the club-shop website and they do not offer a dash kit for the petrol delica.Green1 wrote:UK site, under the club-shop, delica essentials, they have the L300 guages, auto and manual for 35 GBP (about $70 CDN) they have 2 different styles as well.
