I wasn't able to find anything with the phrase "lift pump", either running or cranking. What year is your Pajero, does it have the 4D5 or 4M4 engine it?

Only thing I could find on the GenII Pajeros is a fuel heater that kicks in and out based on vacuum pressure; it's atop the fuel filter.

I fuel heater you say? is this the same on L400s? could be useful on WVO systems, wire it up to a switch on the dash or to a fuel temp sensor.

One thing I've learned about the 2.8 litre engine in the L400s and Pajeros is that they are not quite the same. At least, there seems to be subtle differences in placement and in some of the pieces (the intercooler on the L400 seems to be bigger, for example).

I'll take a look at my fuel filter later, see if I can see this inline heater and then snap a picture or two for reference. I'm still learning about Monty, so it could take a couple of days.
