I was going to post on this, I did mine, too. One thing I would point out ~ if you add more fuel (clockwise) then your engine and consequently your exhaust manifold will burn hotter.

Do you have a Pyrometer (EGT gauge)? I ask this because your water temp sensor is right beside No.1 cylinder, directly behind the fan and doesn't give you a very accurate exhaust temp reading. From what I've heard, when most engines blow, it's No.4 cylinder that goes.

Also, when you set your IP did you only remove the two plugs on top of the IP to get to it, like Butch does ~ or did you have to unhook the kick down linkage bracket and pull the 710 dipstick as well like I did? I guess my hands are not that small, after all.

Hi
I just reached in and loosened the lock nut and then used a screwdriver.
Is the kickdown linkage different for the auto models?
I have a manual tranny.
I did have a look at tiny's motor for 1/2 second the other night and
looked at the IP. It seemed to be the same 'tightness' as mine to get
at. Although I was 'bouncing' on timbits at the time so it might be skewed.
;)

I don't have a pyro, yet. Trying to find one that isn't that expensive.
Haven't seen one at Princess Auto yet either :)

On a serious note though, I don't think I was getting near enough fuel into
the system as needed. Enough so that when the turbo 'kicks' in, I got
no real sensation that it was working at all. Now it's noticable (not super
but it's there) Come spring I am going to replace all the fuel lines and who
knows, maybe rinse out the tank as well. I have hopes of doing some
preventative maintenance and rebuilding my injectors too. I might have some
restrictions that are causing the lack of power. Once they are addressed I
will adjust the flow again. Hopefully down if all is as I think.
