NEEDED: 1990 4G64 ECU CODES

Post by Yokohama »

I need the ECU codes/testing procedure (is there a plug for ECU testing?) for a 1990 USA spec L300 with 4G64. I presume that the 90 ECUs would all use the same codes, maybe.

Thank you.

Have you checked out "FAQs & Downloads" in "Delica Canada Technical"? It's in the forum index. You will find the 4G64 engine manual there.

Thank you, but the manuals dealing with the EFI system on this site appear to only cover the V6 and diesel models. I have the gasoline 4-cylinder, unless the codes for whatever year of V6 ECU is in the manuals is the same for the 1990 4-cylinder 4G64 ECU.

I'm not familliar with the gasoline version of the vehicle, but I can tell you that the diesels certainly didn't have an ECU, and I would be extremely surprised if the gas version had an ECU test plug...

I found the codes. It has a diagnostic port above the fuses; it gave the code for bad ECU.

I found that the ECU suffers from similar capacitor leakage to the DSM's ECU. I either have to repair my ECU or find another one.

Where did you find the codes? I can load them into the L300 Delica Downloads forum.
