horn won't stop

Post by terrain »

it happened and thanks to the great advice on this site and apologies to everyone in my neighborhood who was trying to sleep.

My fix was using a foam glazing tape (1/4" x 3/32), its self adhering and narrow - not quite as hair trigger as the original design but my erratic horn honking wasn't that appreciated here anyway

Yeah...it's five a.m...my dogs start to go nuts. I tell the wife to let them out.
She tells me the air conditioner is making a terrible howling noise.
I come out in my underwear to find the air conditioner is fine but the Delica is screaming uncontrollably. It finally happened...I had noticed it getting more touchy by the day...but it finally happened. And it will happen to you.
Save yourself the trouble and fix a touchy horn before your neighbours file a noise complaint.
What a horrible way to wake up... wish me luck on the fix. Will take some pix.

I found a thin layer of some foam (I used that white stuff used under wood flooring), cut using the brass contact plate as a template works fine. This may be the easiest Deli mod going!
