Hi All,
With this wet weather I have noticed a wet area near the door lock for the sliding door. It then runs down the panelling and soaks the carpet on the door. It looks like it is coming from the window. Any idea on how to seal this?
Thanks
Mark

Do you have a photo of the problem? Could it be coming from the roof? I hear that L300 has crystal lite leaking problems... But I am not an expert.

A couple possibilities off the top of my head...Sureshot wrote:With this wet weather I have noticed a wet area near the door lock for the sliding door. It then runs down the panelling and soaks the carpet on the door. It looks like it is coming from the window. Any idea on how to seal this?
1) window seal
2) door seal
I suspect #2 is more likely as the window on the sliding door doesn't open
The seals can be rejuvenated a bit with dielectric grease, or many of the usual dealers on here can find replacement seals (Mardy, CVI, CCAutos, RMI)
beyond that, I suspect if the door handle mechanism or lock isn't sealed properly water could be coming in around there.
To troubleshoot further, we need more information, if the water first appears at the edge of the door, it is likely a seal, if it appears around the handle you'll have to pull the door panel off and look inside, if it is water right at the lock button itself, look up at the window and door seals that are directly above that spot to see if there's moisture there as well.
Unlikely, although there seems to be lots of paranoia around leaking crystal lite roofs, I have never heard anything about it from anyone who actually had a crystal lite roof... this leads me to believe it is more fiction than fact. And especially being that this is on the sliding door itself, something that does have moving and openable parts, I'm suspecting that area is more likely.Mr. Flibble wrote:Could it be coming from the roof?
