Purchase Inspection plus advice needed

Thanks for checking this post. First time purchaser. Recently decided to go with a L400 rather than a L300. I think I have found one that I like being sold privately. Before committing, I would like to have it inspected. Which shop in the North Vancouver area would you recommend that I take it to?

Also, before getting myself that far, what things can I look for to see if there are going to be any hidden surprises after I get it?
