From Saskatoon and looking for a Delica

Post by pattonmaclean »

Hi. I'm from 'toon and have been looking for a Delica or something similar for a while.

I saw an L300 in P.A. and am also considering a Nissan Safari.

Want to set myself up for summer...getting between Saskatoon and Big River.

Doing some canoeing.

Hey that rhymes.

I hear ya! Delicas are so versatile and fun. My whole family loves it. (maybe not as much as I do...)

I did the master brake cylinder myself. Also changed my wheel cylinder bleeder valves to Speed Bleeders. Awesome! Love em. One person brake bleeding in less than five minutes per wheel. So easy I flushed all the lines at the same time. It was so fast and easy I may have gotten carried away, I used over a litre of brake fluid flushing all the lines out.

I also cleaned my air ducts and insulated forward of the dash innards to try and keep some of the -30 weather out. Also modified the footwell air ducts to blow down and not onto the knees. (Don't usually find our knees getting cold. lol)

Wanted to clean up all the wiring under the dash from previous installs and it grew into a repair/mod project.

Sounds like fun. Never driven a Safari but I love the Delica. I'm doing the opposite, looking for a canoe for this summer.
Have you driven either vehicle? Maybe we could setup a little test driving excursion. (Always looking for an excuse to go out driving!)

If at first you don't succeed , get a bigger hammer.

I'm into tripping and some whitewater. Do you have a canoe for sale? I'm looking for a good quality general purpose canoe.

I haven't driven either vehicle. I am in South Korea until summer.

The Delica is in P.A., the Nissan in Saskatoon, So I'm getting friends to check them out for me.
