What Do You Guys Think About This Vid?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Gasoline is a solvent. Diesel is an oil. If you take your lit cigarette and flick it into a tray of diesel, there is a good chance the diesel will smother the cigarette before it has a chance to light the diesel. On the other hand if you take that lit cigarette and flick it into a tray of gasoline it will likely ignite before it actually lands into the tray. Gasoline, being a solvent, vaporises faster than diesel, being an oil. Diesel is good for lighting fires because it takes longer to burn, thereby giving the wood more time to catch, yet when you first put the lit match to it doesn't all go up in a sudden flash like gasoline would. Compression is when you squeeze the diesel (& air) so hard that it rubs all the molecules together; friction causing heat; causing ignition; causing expansion; causing the piston to go down; causing the wheels on the bus to go round and round...... :? Sorry, I couldn't resist.

yep and I believe that gasoline the liquid doesn't burn just the vapors, diesel liquid burns I believe not sure about the vapor.

Neither solids nor liquids burn, pyrolysis causes them to convert to vapours that burn. When you throw wood on a fire, the wood heats up and releases flammable gasses, which causes the wood itself to decompose and even glow, but it is always just the gasses burning, the wood just off-gasses. The flashpoint of liquids has to do with when the liquid is vapourizing enough to support combustion of those gasses.

Firemen are cool. I could spend hours discussing philosophy with them. Nothing like sitting beside a fire in the darkness and watch the wood age, crumple and blacken as it's potential life force energy becomes a kinetic ball of flame.

So I was talking to a couple of guys in Delica Club, Aus. about blocking off the EGR. One guy mentioned that a number of people in Australia have done so in order to pass their emissions tests. I find this intriguing considering that the EGR was originally put in to decrease emissions.
