My Delica is being eaten by bikes!

Post by nishby »

So here's the long ago promised photos of the Bling Bus carrying 24 bikes (I still had room for a couple more).

There's a plywood insert with fold-up wings that slides in over the seats.

I drove this load home in a blizzard in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. The 4WD was superb!

that's pretty impressive, I wonder how many big bikes you could fit. By big bikes I mean full DH rigs 42-55ish pounds each and expensive parts that you don't want getting scratched to hell (ie fork stanchions). of course the limiting factor with that is you usually want a seat for the person that rides the bike as well, I took 7 and 7 once with a couple bikes on the front a couple on the roof and the rest on the back my mileage suck HUGE.

I have a bike shop. These are auction bikes heading home from Toronto to get e new life. It's one of the reasons I bought the Deli. Lots of room in a versatile vehicle.

Good thing you brought the Delica ~ as the bikes are going through quite a life changing experience having been auctioned. At least the Delica will understand their plight and make the change a little easier for them :-). By the way, do you get auction papers with the bikes? If so, are they in English and do any of them have "R's" on them... (don't mind me, long day at the office).

Falco.

This leads to a tongue-in-cheek enviro question....

Which is more energy efficient?... 24 bikes transported by 24 riders or 24 bikes transported by one Delica? Hmmmmm..... :-D

All I can say to those pictures is ..... duuuude!

kind of a misleading post, its clear that your delica is eating the bikes and carrying a few extra for a snack later.
