I have one in my 94 justy. It hasn't given me any trouble but I think in stop and go it might get hot. I had a clutch temp light flash on me once on a hot day in hot traffic. I also drive it like I stole it.

right on adrock! thats the same transmission thats in the sambar. dont ever throw that away!

Yeah, I love it. Ds gear is an absolute riot. Basically sport mode in a 3 cyl. ha.

Starting from a stop is hard on the transmission. The one thing I was told when I bought it is that from a dead stop just go easy. It makes sense, it does not creep ahead like a regular car, there is a switch to engage the transmission at the very beginning of the accelerator action. and if it engages when your rpms are high it is a shock to the system. Once you are moving and everything is spinning you can pretty much do whatever you want. The nissan may have something to prevent the damage that could occur which may explain the slow starts.
