Last week the front passenger foot well of my Deli was soaked. I took up the carpet, stuck a fan in there and after two days got it bone dry. I noticed a Japanesse newspaper stuck under the carpet by the previous owner, so I'm guessing the is a reoccurring problem. It got me thinking though, when was that last time it rained hard? I had a floor mat down so I didn't notice the wet carpet until it completely saturated. The driver side is completely dry.
Anyway after putting everything back I checked again yesterday and the wet floors are starting again. It's gotta be condensation from the AC. I have a cool box I use to keep water cold in the ice setting. Do you think that's the issue?
Wet Floor from AC??

Hi, I would look at your ice box, it has a drain, my guess would be the hose came off it and is leaking into your cab.

water leaks are a common problem on the Delica, there's info in the FAQ section I believe on fixing a leak on the seams in the body panels, another common source of the leak is the seal around the windshield

Pretty sure the leak is not external as it hasn't been wet here for a while, at least not since I dried up the last incident. I didn't find where the Cool Box drain tube was, but I'll look again and hold off using the Cool Box until then to see if that is the source.Green1 wrote:water leaks are a common problem on the Delica, there's info in the FAQ section I believe on fixing a leak on the seams in the body panels, another common source of the leak is the seal around the windshield

Think I found the leak
Looks like I found the source of the leak. This black tube was disconnected under a flap of the passenger side carpet.

I guess it's the drain for the AC condensation?

That would be the culprit, I imagine...unfortunately, it looks like have some rust on your floorboard as a result....
Hopefully, it isn't too advanced.

Nope, no rust. The brown stuff is just the carpet underlay.collector wrote:That would be the culprit, I imagine...unfortunately, it looks like have some rust on your floorboard as a result....Hopefully, it isn't too advanced.
