Hello,
Ok, my guy here in WInnipeg says the turbo is leaking oil, and this would signify that it is shot or almost shot. Is the turbo an external part that can be removed and replaced? How can I test it to see if it works properly? I have not noticed a dramatic decrease in power, but it may have been going over a long time, and my wife drives the van primarily. Also, the a/c tension wheel is totally seized. It shred the a/c belt to pieces. So, please advise about the turbo unit and the tensioner wheel. I can provide any specs or numbers as needed.
Thank you,
Carl

Re: turbo, a/c tensioner
Hey,
The turbos do tend to weep a bit,
but if you want a new (used)
one CCautos has some,
quite reasonably priced.
Then you can decide if you want to rebuild
your other turbo. (costs a bit of cake)
They have AC pumps and tensioners too for a fair price.

They are pretty a busy shop but if you leave a message
they will get to you.
Right ON!
