sealing front panel: anybody interested (in Victoria)

Hi wet footies! I'm going to try to seal those front panels. With the instructions online it shouldn't be too hard. Is, by any chance, anybody interested in joining (especially some strong person that can loosen up tight bolts)? I'm in Victoria for the rest of the week and have time whenever. Let me know asap if you want to join, at your place or "mine".

Make sure you try at first the more easier fixes like:

- silicone on the front of the rain gutter
- silicone below the rain gutter (stop my leak)
- seal windshield rubber
- tighten windshield wiper mounts

Taking the front panels off is not necessarily the solution.

thanks for suggestions. tried sealing the raingutters, didn't help much. we also did all sorts of other sealing already. don't think the windshield got looked at, though.

Quick tip on getting the screw under the bottom of the window seal. take a heat gun and warm up the rubber so it bends up easier. Chances are the screw is rusted to certain degree and possibility of stripping the phillips head. I took a Dremel and cut a slot in the head to fit a big honkin slotted screw driver. Remember, yu don't need to take the screw right out, just 4 turns or so as the top of that panel is slotted and will slide out from under the screw head

Thanks, Golf Cart, that helped. we did end up dremeling slots in some of the screws and drilling out others, and used the heat gun for the rubber. We're half way through... now the sealant is drying.
I think the sealing might help with the wet feet. there was not much sealant left, and there was quite a bit of (superficial) rust around that had to be cleared. Fun times, though as always when tinkering and delicaling.
