Since I have received it from Japan I have kept all receipts and service records. The truck had one owner in Japan so I am the second owner of the vehicle. The truck was kept in very good shape and was never off-roaded. I figure the guy in Japan drove back and forth to the golf course on the weekend is what I am assuming from the golf tees I have found in different crevasses of the truck. The differentials never had a scratch on them when I first got it, Its been a mall queen its whole life. I really lucked out getting this truck in the condition its in. I am also a bit reluctant to let it go. She gets 10.5-11L/100km highway driving at 100km/h and can do better if you drive slower. Around town I get 13-14L/100km for the quick trips and the stop go stuff. I just did a trip on the weekend of mixed driving and did 650kms without the low fuel light coming on. I am sure if it was straight highway I could get more....

Since owning it I have:

Changed the Bottom End Bearings with ACL Bearings and new Rod Bolts
Regular Oil changes with Shell Rotella T and Baldwin Filters
Regular Fuel Filter Changes
Cleaned Air-filter
Religiously and generously use Howes Fuel Lubricant Additive with every tank
Undercoated the body and painted the frame (I have pictures of before this happened)
Added Alpine iPod/Blutooth Stereo Unit
Flushed Antifreeze and added a Lower Radiator Heater
Rebuilt the rear diff-lock mechanism
Extended Differential and Locker Breathers to under the hood
Greased the Drive-line and Knuckles
Turbo Inspected for piece of mind
Changed the Series Parallel Solenoid
Adjusted Kickdown Cable
Installed Isspro Pyro, Boost and Trans Temp Gauges
Added an oil catch can
Flushed Transmission
Changed Differentials and Transfer Case to Synthetic
Alternator Serviced
Replaced Alternator Belts and AC Belt

The Truck runs great and has never caused me a headache. Its been really reliable rig for me and its blast to drive. She runs like a top. This truck gets lots of looks and compliments. I hope the future owner will appreciate it as much as I do. This truck is my Baby. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I have a ton of pictures of the truck. If you want anything specific just ask.

TRUCK IS TENTATIVELY SOLD!!!!!!

THE TWO ROOF BARS ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THE SALE

thanks Will, people keep telling me that, and I think its worth every penny considering the options and the work that has been done to it. the 81 market is a bit slow right now unfortunately.
I know a fellow who just landed his 81 with a lift and lockers and it cost home over $18,000.
He hasn't done any of the maintence work as of yet but I can tell you Bottom end bearings, fluids, belts, replacing his worn out mud tires, along with anything else that is needed is going to go well above what I am asking. He doesn't even have some of the toys I have:)

If someone is looking for an 81 that has been looked after and loved this is your truck.

I love it when people say that! I am glad I went the landcruiser route vs the pajero route I initially looked at following.
I am glad I kept my dads tradition going of choosing a landcruiser. Boy do I like it, its became an addiction that I don't plan on kicking.

Yeah, my step dad had a 68 or 69 Fj40. We ended up rebuilding it frame up. Dana60 f/r, 350 smallblock, custom aluminum tub/firewall with tool compartments, fiberglass fenders, running on 40's. It had everything, onboard air with f/r hook ups, 12000lbs warn winch, even a shower!

Good luck with the sale completion, it is a very nice truck after all. Not as nice as a 77 though... Almost went that route (77) until I drove one and decided the interior room wasn't sufficient. One of the best looking truck that's for sure!

I have a deposit so its set in stone, they have emailed me their flight information too:)
I am mainly after the simplicity of the 70 series. I love that, when I think of an expedition landcruiser its a 70 series. Heck they still make them for a reason. 1984-2005ish they kept the same dash style. Its simplistic.
I absolutely love the look of them too. The 80 is a little to modern for my likings. Really cool that you have seen on in person.
I imported an HZJ73 for my dad and we both just love it.
The 80 does seat small I.M.O. Yet again I am 6'7" so I am not a 5'5" Japanese guy either.
I highly recommend the truck, their great bomb proof rigs.
Never know I might import another in the future, my dads tossing up the idea.

nice to hear it sold...
*ZJ77s, best truck made.
i have one here the customer is picking up next week, it took 2 years of shopping to find the one he wanted. he calls it his "roll-ahead" truck. 131K and looks like it has 20K on it. it had been a while since the wife had drove a really clean 77 manual. i asked her how she liked it and her answer was "i want one".
she doesn't say that very often.

if you get the right one, you will LOVE the HZJ77 but at the same time the PZJ77 is a very nice ride for a lot less money.
