looking for a compression tester

Post by strada-caster »

looking for a cheap compression tester (ie. not 300 dollars)

found this one http://www.harborfreight.com/12-piece-d ... 93644.html
2 questions:
does harbor freight ship to canada?
does the ford/mitsubishi 2.3l (10 x 1.25 thread) glow plug adapter work on our 4d56? (the attached manual on that webpage lists the included adapters)

Where did anybody else get theirs?

i have used the snap on unit as well as the Napa unit.
both worked well, the Snap on is a higher quality with a higher price tag.
i will have to check but i believe that your glow plugs have the same thread pattern as the Toyota so then it looks like the adapter is included.
i paid $180 for the Napa kit plus the Toyota adapter for $25
i paid $300+ for the Snap On kit including the adapter.
$18, buy it and try it. that is only 2 trips to Timmy's...
