Extend this design to a roofrack-mounted captains chair and steering wheel and I'm in.

Or me.

Bean there, done that (sorry)

Remote steering and other controls are not unusual in my former line of work...

I've seen videos of this being done. Guy in Ontario modifies cars. Can't find the Youtube videos right now. Drat, they are hilarious.

I saw that as a mod for rural postal carriers in the States - although the wheel is left on the left as well. They have the same problem we do: right-side of the road highways, driver sits on the left, and the postal service won't fit the rural post boxes in the middle of the road!

I'd like to see how the driver steps on the gas, operates the turn signals etc... that would be fun... Also interesting: What would happen if the passenger side airbag were to go off... you'd have pulley's flying across the interior of the car... :-)

Just imagine the party in the car if the wife wanted to turn left and the guy to turn right... :-)

Mind you... there must be places that do that kind of stuff... just think about all the driving school instructors.. they all have steering wheels sticking out of their glove boxes....

Cheers,
Chris
