Best A/T Tire? Best size for SWB Pajero?

Post by leandro »

I'm deciding between BFG AT's, General Grabber AT2's, or Cooper Discoverer S/T's. Which would be best for 85% city/highway, 15% offroad?

Also would 31X10.50/15 fit fine on my stock pajero wheels?

Best AT tire is relative to what you want.

Best winter performance AT tire : Nokian Vatiiva
Best offroad performance AT tire : Goodyear Duratrac
Best summer performance AT tire : BFG AT/Grabber AT
Best tread wear AT tire : BFG AT

I went with the BFG A/Ts in 33x10.5x15. I wanted better a better fsr ride mostly for summer and I want them to last. I probably would have went with the duratrac's if I didn't get such a good deals on these. I went a little larger so I can maintain stock clearances when aired down and so I can bring my revs down on the hwy. I think I could use wider rims though. The stocks tend to round the tread too much so I have to keep the tire pressure real low for perfect wear. (not that I do, they're just tires)
