I have two for you guys so no fighting. I'm in Spain right now but they are just outside my garage by the alley so if you guys want them they are yours for free! in powell river i get mine from the "bulk oil plant"
theres agotta be a place like that. i think on the forum somebody said "western drum" but im not sure. if its just for WVO you can use plastic barrels too. try u-brew places...

I don't think you can put a heater in a plastic drum though...

In Victoria, you can buy a used drum from Borden merchantile and fairly cheap , they are previously used for storing liquid Honey and need a good hot soapy wash out, but at least you wont be washing out nasty chemicals.

These are my drums that I've used for wvo but I had too many so I'd be happy to share. When I bought them they were used for shipping personal effect and had a liner so nothing but wvo made it in...

If you come by mid-Aug. I'll be back in town so we could also meet up...

I don't think you can put a heater in a plastic drum though...

both BCDelica and i have hung H2O heaters inside a plastic drum filled with WVO. I learned from BCDelica to be very careful that the element doesnt touch the barrel. He learned the hard way. BTAIM you are certainly better off with a steel drum

You also might want to figure whether you want
a barrel with removable top or not.
The good thing about the removable top ones
is you setup you Fuge to the lid and move it
to another barrel.It is held on with a clamp
around the top lip.Also you can get full access
to the inside of the the barre to see whats
the lowdown (I like that myself).I have not
seen a removable top one yet that has bung
fittings (holes) on it.

The good thing about a sealed top barrel is
you can use the bung fittings that are there already.
Also you can roll the barrel around when its full with
less of a chance of a oil-alanche.
Perfect for moving oil around from place to place.

Go to your closest Harley Davidson Dealership. We use bulk oil in metal drums. Evry dealership usually has a bunch that they would love to get rid of.
