Was looking for somewhere around the lower mainland to go bumping around with the boys, so I dug up an old thread delicat had posted about the Hydro line above the Westwood plateau in PoCo.

So I went out there and, lo and behold, the builders of the Great Wall of China have recently erected a 3-Lock-Block-High concrete barricade on the east side of the road, completely blocking vehicle access to that side of the power lines.
Al other areas up there seem to be gated off with CityOfCoquitlam locks on them.
Anybody know of any hidden trail entrances around there to gain access? I had a drive around but could find none.
Failing that, one of the locals mentioned that "approved 4x4 clubs" can get a copy of the keys to said locks. Anybody looked into this? If not, I shall and report back.

Anyone can go to the city and get keys for the gates the the trails. Be sure you are aware of all the rules and off limit area's so you don't ruin it for the rest of us.
Do a search on the bc4x4 forum, or the 4x4abc website.

Hey Isaac,
Hearing you mention "dentist" reminds me of the great years I've had when I lived up by Buntzen Lake. I think I broke the frame of one of my bikes on that one! Those were the years of hard tails... I tried to go back a few years later and could barely recognize the place with all the new housings. Kinda out of context but eh...
