Re: Yijia Manual Hubs
Funny enough, the instructions are 2 threads down:
http://www.delica.ca/forum/single-dual- ... -3087.html
Follow his pictures and explanation:
summed up.
Unscrew center cap counterclockwise - i used a big pipe wrench
take out c clip,
take out washer (see pictures in his thread)
unscrew the hex bolts
pull out
clean up
take the yijia bolts off the unit (out of the box)
slide the hub onto the axle
reverse process
put washer on
put c clip on
tighten bolts
enjoy
both sides took me under an hour.
Real easy for anyone
With the hubs out of the box. Once
you unscrew the bolts to separate the cap etc, DONT
be tempted to muck with the spring rotation inside.
I did, took me a few unnecessary minutes to get it
back to the norm.
Oh, if you drink a beer while doing this mod, it's alot
more enjoyable.

note: Yes, he did it with superwinch hubs, procedure is the same,
his instructions:
**************************
Manual hubs are easy.
1. unscrew auto (shiny) hub cap
2. Take out C-clip retainer (careful as it will pop out. You don't want to loose it)
3. Remove flat o-ring washer
4. Undo 8mm Allan bolts
5. Clean
6. Remove two allen bolts in the new Superwinch 'SW' hub (they come like that so they don't fall apart in the box)
7. Separate the two halves of the SW hub assembly (as in my pics)
8. Repeat in reverse steps 2-6
9. Put 2nd half (shiny cover) SW hub on with small (included) torx bolts. ** note. They are tiny and fragile. They do NOT need to be cranked on.
10. Enjoy being able to go up/down steep hills on 4Xlow with on the rear wheels engaged enabling you to turn the front wheels at full lock without binding anything (which happens in 4xlow/high with the transfercase engaged).

Re: Yijia Manual Hubs
Is there anything specific I should use to clean the inside after I have the old hubs off and before I install the new ones?Firesong wrote: clean up
FS, I did see the other post below, I just wasn't sure if the procedure was the same for any type of manual hub.
Thanks for the tips, I will attempt on Friday (before it gets too cold here in Onterrible).

Just clean up the area when you take the old ones out.
It won't take too long. The first hub will take you
twice as long as the second one ;)
I like mine so far. No complaints and they look and function
well.

Great!
I wasn't sure if I need to put any type of lubrication or packing grease in there or not.

Re: Yijia Manual Hubs
Thanks FS and jfarsang too of course.
This was my first mod. It was very simple and didnt take much time at all even without any power tools.
I didn't find any type of washer that was mentioned above so I just ignored that part ;)
