I generally avoid any promotion efforts on forums, as I believe Gearbox Magazine should be a place where community members can hopefully get to know people from other communities and act as ambassadors - for their home forums and for their chosen platforms.
That said, Gearbox Magazine is officially one year old this week and I wanted to personally thank all the people in the global Mitsubishi community who have made it the fantastic year that it's been - this includes everyone here.
We are more than forum junkies who are "into cars." We are a citizens of the worldwide Mitsubishi community. We see through borders, politics, and it is our similarities which allow us to reduce our differences to novel curiosities.
I hope that you have enjoyed getting to know other Mitsubishi owners from around the world and that the next 12 months will find you getting the opportunity to grow your personal Mitsubishi network on a global level.
If you're not familiar with Gearbox Magazine, check out our 1 year celebration post, where we reflect on Mitsubishi's DNA and some of our favorite, international Mitsubishi owner interviews.

Thanks again for everything. Go fast with class, friends!

You too, Paul. I wanted so badly to mention your story in that post as well, but if I'd had two interviews from Canada, I'd want two from everywhere, and, well, I only know the one dude in Iran.

Do a follow-on post for others from other countries. Then you could mention my ride.DR1665 wrote:You too, Paul. I wanted so badly to mention your story in that post as well, but if I'd had two interviews from Canada, I'd want two from everywhere, and, well, I only know the one dude in Iran.
BTW, I had to read a bunch of other posts, and then look it up on Google to know what DSM meant.

Good idea, Paul! I'm also thinking, next time I interview a Montero/Pajero owner, I'll be sure to mention you and link back to the story there.
I love getting to know servicemen and women from other countries, too. Earlier this month, I met a guy in the German army. He's got a turbo diesel Lancer (looks like an Evo X, but FWD, does 255kph, and goes 800km on a tank of diesel). I really want to get these conversations out there, because they are among the best.
Sorry for the DSM confusion. They are so commonplace in the States, and given I cut my teeth on them over the last decade plus, it's easy to use the term, knowing full well it wasn't common outside the US. (I only saw 3 Eclipses while in Germany, 2 first gens and 1 second gen. Go figure!)

Ya, I didn't realise how many 'captive imports' there were in the North American market - primarily the American market. Again, a lot of those models were not sold here. More Fords and Chevys than Dodge.
