I saw both of those back in August when I was driving through Golden, I had a small freakout session in the drivers seat. My wife just shook her head.

Both have self-recovery winches which is great because a gang of Delicas couldn't pull these out of wherever they are going.

When I was reading up on M35's I saw a lot of similar comments ie: "great trail recovery vehicle, but with a curb weight between 13,000 and 16,000 lbs if you get stuck nobody is pulling you out!"

I heard when the military get vehicles this size stuck they either use a truck of the same size that's designed for recovery or they haul it out with a tank. So just make sure if you buy one of these trucks that you get the phone # of the person who purchases the other one :)

That made me laugh out loud! Having seen them on the way to the coast, I had to prime my wife for the following 4 days just to be able to stop and have a look on the way back to Calgary. She didn't even look up for the 20 minutes we were there Now she's been telling the cat that "daddy" is getting a giant $40,000 truck... the cat is female too... she had no reply either....
Holding out to do more research. Research??? Uh oh!... I'm turning into my wife!... what happened to the good ol' manly spur-of-the-moment purchase without thinking thing?

Just did the math, these things (the 6x6 version) weight about 13 Tons, get 1/4 the fuel economy of a Delica (not that bad all things considered) and cost about $320 to fill the tank at today's Diesel prices (and you'll be refilling it in almost the same range as you get out of a Deli).

I still want one....

It's a large toy that will limit you in many BC trails. This would be great in the greats plains or up north in open spaces.

I think this thing would kill trees/trails and hurt the environment wherever you take it. Getting unstuck would probably involve uprooting trees until you find one strong enough to pull you out. Unless of course another man or tank is around

Oil changes/fuel ups/repairs will keep a healthy wallet on it's toes.

With that said. it would be fun to boot around in the snow.
