This Safari Rack and Cross Bars were custom made for my low roof L400. Perhaps they could be used on other roofs as well?
93"x48" - full length of roof.
Lots of storage space.
Unique, hinged, lockable middle hatch over sun/moon roof means you can access the roof from the inside of the van - Climb on up and sleep under the stars!
Very heavy duty construction made for overland touring.
Front lockable wind wedge compartment.
Side plates to install awning - not attached yet.
Light mounts on rear.
Clip on bar in front of fuel/water cans to secure load.
Expanded aluminum floor and rear sides to keep gear from flying out.
Surprisingly, very quiet on the highway.
Rack can be removed to leave just the Heavy Duty Cross Bars in place. Great for carrying longer items.
I paid a total of $2350 for both the rack and bars. I'm asking $1950 now.
