Turbo Rebuild?

Does your Mitsubishi L300 make a strange noise? Need wheel alignment specs?

Turbo Rebuild?

Post by docsavage »

Has anyone tried this yet? Is there a kit with seals and bearings, or whatever is needed? Mine is starting to leak a bit more oil and I would like to attend to it.

Thanks,

James

Hi , is there play in the shaft? would you like it simply rebuilt, made stronger? larger? faster spool up/more air flow? many options for turbo repairs. Thats one of the things I have just started to get back into. I havent taken one off a delica yet, but if you can send me the model number and info I can get you a price for a full rebuild with warrantee.

I would like to just rebuild it right now to fix the leaks. However, I could be easily convinced to tweak it a bit. I'll get the turbo model in a bit.

Hey Noel,

The part number I found for my turbo is 49177-C. I will probably rebuild it myself as I need the vehicle, can only be down while I work on it.

Thanks for looking into this.

I googled that part number, and except for the C it is a generic Mitsu Turbo. Stamped after the cast number was 510 which seems to be a 4D56 turbo.

would you like a price for a turbo re-build kit? I belive if you do it your self there is no warrantee with the parts, but ya its faster and cheaper so long as you know how to do it.

Hi James, are you able to take a pic of the tag that is riveted to the turbo, I need the numbers off that for the rebuild kit.
if you could either take a pic, or write them down and email that to me noel@enviroimports.com and I can get the price for you right away.
