Re: Once and for all: where is the Headlight Relay?
It should be on the driver's side under the dash, as this is the most accessible location to tap into the harness.

I didn't bother with messing with those.
I used the wiring near the lights to activate my
relays for my lights.

Re: Once and for all: where is the Headlight Relay?
I didn't think there WAS a relay for the L300s, which is why the column stalk burns out all the time (full current load going through the activation switch).
As for those four 'cans', they were associated with the hazard signals in my van. Turn signal relay was in the glove box, hazards behind the steering wheel.
For the L400s and the Gen II Pajeros, there is definitely a relay for the headlights, out in the engine bay. Maybe the later L300s have a headlight relay as well, but not that I've heard.

Re: Once and for all: where is the Headlight Relay?
One or two of those relays is for the front turn signals , When you use the turn signal the front only side marker light comes on.Most people disconect that feature and wire the forward side marker lights direct to the runnig lights. The other three relays i have't figure out what they do.My guess is two of them might be used ,one for the right turn signal/marker light and one for the left turn signal/marker light. Check flexboi /Tardis Deli post about adding realays to take the load off the head light switch. If your still confusssed Pm me Jay Tardis Deli

Re: Once and for all: where is the Headlight Relay?
the bus in question has the DRL disabled becuase of headlight problems. the mechanic was installing the combo switch that the customer suppled. the mechanic says replacing the switch didnt fix the prblem, but later said there was a faulty relay and he figured out which one... ill ask for more details
